American Iron and Steel Institute

AISI serves as the voice of the North American steel industry in the public policy arena and advances the case for steel in the marketplace as the preferred material of choice. AISI also plays a lead role in the development and application of new steels and steelmaking technology. AISI is comprised of 31 member companies, including integrated and electric furnace steelmakers, and 130 associate and affiliate members who are suppliers to or customers of the steel industry. AISI’s member companies represent approximately 75 percent of both U.S. and North American steel capacity.


Cement Association of Canada

The Cement Association of Canada is the voice of the Canadian cement industry. Representing 100% of cement producers in Canada, our mission is to foster the effective use of concrete and other cement-based products through partnerships in marketing, public affairs, engineering and technical support. Through these efforts we seek to increase awareness of cement and concrete's contribution to vibrant communities, a healthy environment and a competitive economy.

The Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) works on behalf of Canada's wood, pulp, and paper producers at both the national and international level, representing industry interests on a wide variety of issues, particularly those related to the economy, trade, and the environment. FPAC membership includes the top 20 forest industry companies and the largest producers of forest products in Canada. FPAC member companies are responsible for 66% of certified forest lands in Canada. Third-party certification of their forest management practices is a condition of membership in the Association - a world first.


FPInnovations - Forintek Division

Forintek is Canada’s national wood products research institute, with a history dating back to 1913. Forintek supports the forest products industry in optimizing manufacturing processes, extracting higher value products from the forest resource, and meeting end-user expectations of performance, durability and affordability. Forintek also performs proprietary research projects on a contract basis.

The National Research Council Institute for Research in Construction (NRC-IRC)

is the leading construction research agency in Canada. NRC-IRC works with industry to improve the durability and cost-effectiveness of public infrastructure and enhance the comfort and safety of buildings.

The Vinyl Institute

The Vinyl Institute (VI) is the trade association representing US manufacturers of vinyl (PVC) resin. VI supports the use of life cycle assessment for informing environmental decisions.
